This is the heart of my equine vision.

I’m stepping into a new phase of my Ayurvedic work, expanding my focus to include custom equine wellness protocols. My work centers on supporting horses who struggle to adapt to Arkansas’s humid, clay-heavy climate—particularly around skin, coat, and digestive health.

Listening to Owner Insight

Every horse owner holds a deep, unique understanding of their animal. My role isn't to step in as a behavioral expert, but to listen to the owner's observations and partner with them.

To help guide our direction, I use a detailed Equine Wellness & History Intake. Together, we look at:

  • Background & Environment: Living setups, history, and overall herd dynamics.

  • Physical & Somatic Markers: Digestive concerns, environmental triggers, and current somatic vigilance levels.

  • Owner Observations: The subtle shifts in behavior or comfort that only a dedicated guardian notices.

Omnioriented Whole-Food Approach

Rather than relying on isolated synthetic supplements, my remedies are rooted in whole foods. This is my Omnioriented approach in action—engaging all the senses simultaneously. By honoring taste, texture, smell, and visual presence, the horse responds to the plant material's complete intelligence.

At the core of this work is a specialized somatic evaluation system. Rather than forcing standard formulas, this approach uses direct physical feedback to let the horse’s own nervous system guide their care. By observing these multi-sensory responses, I craft custom herbal muds, low-temperature baked nuggets, and wafers designed to restore balance at the root level.

While skin and digestion were my initial focus, I’m finding that easing physical discomfort through whole-food nourishment creates a smoother path for the owner and horse to communicate. When a horse feels balanced in their body, it simply makes space for the owner's existing bond to flourish.

Inspired by Drifter

This entire framework began with a special horse named Drifter, an old-soul Mustang whose guardian, Marsha, inspired this path. I initially offered to apply a fortified mud to help his skin adapt to the heavy Arkansas humidity. When Marsha mentioned she knew his digestion was feeling off, I offered to look into a food-based option—seeing if we could bring a bit of "home" into his daily nourishment. Seeing how deeply a horse responds when their subtle communication is honored opened the door to this work.

Yesterday, when I dropped off his custom nuggets, he wasn't interested in taking one. It was late morning, past his usual routine, and there was a bit of extra activity and visiting around us—so there were a lot of extra variables in the air! Because every horse has their own preferences, body chemistry, and daily rhythms, this work is very much an ongoing process of trial, error, and gentle observation. I am determined to evolve right along with the horse to learn what his body actually needs.

That is why I was so relieved this morning when Marsha texted to let me know he ate his very first nugget without issue. It was a sweet, quiet moment that reassured me staying patient and learning alongside the horse is exactly where I need to be.
